SORBINIAN POTASU – kwas sorbinowy potasu, sól potasowa kwasu sorbinowego – biały proszek lub granulki, prawie bezwonny, smak neutralny. Konserwant aktywnie hamujący rozwój drożdży, bakterii, grzybów pleśniowych. Spowalnia jedynie rozwój mikroorganizmów i nie ma działania biobójczego. Wykazuje aktywność przeciwdrobnoustrojową dopiero przy pH poniżej 6,5. Może być pochodzenia naturalnego lub syntetycznego. Zarejestrowany jako dodatek do żywności E202.
